All are welcome to attend the annual Lenten Renewal of Vows service. This liturgy is a chance for us to come away from our day to day responsibilities for the day and spend time with one another and to renew ourselves in fellowship and community.
The focus of this service is our renewal of the sacred pledges we have made in ministry and the anointing of God which saturates our work. All of this takes place in the midst of the drama of Holy Week as we move from garden to upper room, from Pilate's palace to Golgotha, and finally to the hope of the open and empty tomb.
All clergy, lay readers and lay members of our diocese are encouraged to attend this Eucharistic service with the Renewal of Vows and the Blessing of Oils at St. George’s Cathedral on Tuesday April 15 to renew their commitment to their ministry. The liturgical color for the service will be red.
