Stolen Lands, Strong Hearts: Lenten study for parishes

Bishop Michael Oulton and the Diocese of Ontario Reconciliation Ministries Team invite you to take part in a special Lenten program produced by the Primate’s Committee on Discovery, Reconciliation and Justice.

The program centres on a powerful video titled: Doctrine of Discovery: Stolen Lands, Strong Hearts. The film and study guide provides education and insight into the racist effects of the Doctrine, reflect upon its history, and encourage all Anglicans to seek a greater understanding of Indigenous Peoples.

In this short introductory video, Bishop Michael explores the Doctrine’s basis for the racism and injustice manifest in the history of North America and urges parishes to use the 12 part study guide throughout Lent.
