Christ Church Gananoque held a traditional afternoon English tea in the garden of the parish on Thursday August 25 as part of a series of teas that were held this summer. “This is an English afternoon tea, so we have finger sandwiches, different homemade desserts, Madeleines, scones, gingerbread, summer fruit cake, small tarts with homemade lemon curd, and other delicacies,” said Carol-Lynn Manion-Wilson, organizer.
Funds raised were donated towards the Christ Church restoration, the local food bank and the Gananoque Refugee Settlement Group.
The parish will host a final summer tea for the season on Thursday September 8.
