'Listening for God's Call'

Bishop William Cliff and the Diocese of Ontario invites you to 'Listening for God’s Call, a Vocations Discernment Morning' for anyone who is curious about vocation and wondering how God might be inviting them to serve.

The morning will begin with worship, followed by an opportunity to explore what we mean by vocation and the difference between discernment and recruitment. We’ll consider the ways God calls all Christians to ministry through baptismal ministry, service in daily life and leadership in the Church, as well as the particular vocations of priests, deacons, licensed lay ministry, chaplaincy and other forms of ministry.

A vocations panel with different experiences of ministry will share their own stories of how their calls emerged, what helped them discern, the challenges they encountered and what advice they would offer.

Whether you are simply curious, wondering about a particular ministry, or sensing a call but aren't sure where it might lead, this day is an opportunity to understand Anglican approaches to vocation and calling, hear authentic vocation stories and know what next steps are available within our diocese.
