As we draw to the close of the year our collection for the renovations at the Sisters of St. John the Divine Motherhouse are nearing $15,000, the halfway mark of our goal of $30,000. These funds and the remainder will be crucial toward this project with the unfortunate and costly discovery of asbestos during the work already underway.
With the focus on parish year end our drive toward completion of this collection will lie fallow, and will resume in the new year. It is hoped that parishes/congregations will consider a gift toward this obligation as passed by the 2023 Synod in their 2025 budgets or by their own dedicated fundraising event.
