Quilts for the Omar family

Earlier this year, Asha Omar and her four children aged 9-19 arrived in Kingston sponsored through Diocese of Ontario Refugee Support (DOORS) by Asha's son Mohammed, who was already living in Canada.

Karen Webb of the Diocese of Brandon and a friend of the Diocese of Ontario, recently sent handmade personalized quilts for Asha and all of her children. Asha and her family are very thankful for this wonderful and generous gift! In providing the quilts Karen commented: "I have enjoyed quilting for more than 25 years and to have the opportunity to gift these quilts to the Omar family has given me great joy and a means to support them in their journey to finding a new home in Canada. Thank you for coming!"
