Dear Friends,
I am pleased to announce that I have appointed The Rev Dr. Bram Pearce as incumbent of the Parish of St. Mary Magdalene, Picton effective July 1. Bram is currently on sabbatical leave from his incumbency at St. Peter’s, Collins Bay and will commence his ministry at St. Mary Magdalene’s at the conclusion of his sabbatical on September 1.
Bram received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity College (University of Toronto) and studied theology at Wycliffe College where he received his Masters of Religion in 2006. He was commissioned and ordained as a Salvation Army Officer in 2007 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Recently, Bram concluded his studies at University of Redlands (SFTS), San Anselmo, California and was awarded a Doctor of Ministry degree.
Following his reception into the Anglican Communion, I ordained Bram to the diaconate in 2012 and then to the priesthood in 2013. He has served as the assistant curate of St. John’s, Bath in 2012 before assuming the incumbency of that parish. He accepted my appointment to the incumbency of St. Peter’s in 2017. Bram has also served as regional dean of Quinte.
Bram and his wife Anita are the proud parents of three sons, Wesley, Rowan and Thomas.
Please hold Bram and his family, the people of St. Peter’s and St. Mary Magdalene’s in your prayers through this time of transition.
Yours in the Faith of Christ,
Bishop Michael Oulton
