I am pleased to announce the appointment of the Reverend Canon Blair Peever as the Incumbent of the Parishes of Lakes & Locks and Sharbot Lake/Central Frontenac effective August 1, 2021. This is a new shared ministry between these parishes and we look forward to a growing partnership in ministry.
Blair graduated from Carlton University with a Bachelor of Arts and from Wycliffe College with a Master of Divinity. He was ordained as deacon and later as a priest in 2002. He has served in the Parish of Kente and since 2007 has been the incumbent of Christ Church, Cataraqui. He has acted as a regional dean and was installed to the Canonry of St Barnabas in 2016. Blair also served as the chairperson of the Camp Hyanto Board and was very active in the Camp’s ministry. He has led a program of mentoring with the clergy of the diocese for a number of years.
Blair and his wife Kassy are the proud parents of a son (Matthew) and two daughters (Samantha and Alora).
Many thanks to the leadership of these churches who worked so faithfully through the process of developing this shared ministry. I would also like to extend my thanks and appreciation to the Venerable Wayne Varley and the Reverend Dr. Ron Hunt who have provided interim ministry.
Please be assured of our support and continuing prayers for God’s strength and grace at this time of transition.
Yours in the faith of Christ,
Bishop Michael Oulton
