What inspires us to care for the Earth? Our faith, our knowledge that what God has brought into being is indeed “very good”, and our gratefulness for the gift of life. Our delight in creation is a reflection of God’s delights. Through Earth care we express our thanks and praise for God’s care both for us and for the entire universe. And we must also express our remorse and lament for the harms we have done to each other and to his creation. The following liturgies may be helpful.
