The Diocese of Niagara School for Missional Leadership invites you to take part in an online course titled: Stewardship: A Faithful Response to God's Mission

Stewardship is our faithful response to the mission of God. We can join in God’s mission with confidence and hope as stewards of God’s abundant gifts and invite others into that stewardship. What is God calling us to as individuals, as a parish, and as a diocese? We know there is a culture shift happening in the church, and the pandemic seems to have expedited this shift. Stewardship practices have also been shifting during this culture change. What does remain the same is that stewardship is discipleship: it calls us to live all aspects of our life in the light of faith in Jesus.

Join Gillian Doucet Campbell Thursday evenings, February 3 - March 10 online from 7:00 - 9:00 EST

The stewardship course will focus on a particular practice of stewardship that invites you to:

  • Connect to the core of your own stewardship practices (personal reflection)
  • Find ways to mobilize the resources already present in your community (time, talent, encouragement, and gratitude)
  • Creatively respond to the challenges that face us today (new ideas, refreshed old ways, and taking risks)
  • Share ways to talk about stewardship, gratitude, and keep parishioners feeling connected to the parish, and
  • Learn more about community centric fundraising best practices (philanthropy is changing - a look at giving trends and practices)
  • Utilize the knowledge developed and tools provided to create an actionable plan with your church
