PWRDF response to Hurricane Irma

Dear Friends,

These past weeks we have been witness to natural calamities on an epic scale, from wildfires in Canada and the United States to flooding in Nepal and India, earthquakes in Mexico and the devastating results of hurricane Harvey and Irma in the Caribbean and the Southern US.

As Anglicans, we are called both to pray for those affected by these disasters but also to put our prayers into action through the partnership of the Primates World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) and ACT Alliance, a coalition of 145 churches and church-related organizations working together in over 100 countries to create positive and sustainable change.

PWRDF has just announced a grant of $40,000 to support immediate needs in Cuba, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

I encourage you to spread the news in your parishes and uphold in your prayers those who have lost their homes, livelihood and loved ones in the wake of this tragic storm. Your support to PWRDF would be most appreciated. To donate to the relief efforts for Hurricane Irma, please visit this link on the PWRDF website.

Yours in Christ’s Service,

Bishop Michael
