Dear Friends,

We continue to evolve and adapt the ministry models in our diocese as we focus on the needs and opportunities that are unique in each church.

Today, I am pleased to announce:

  • The appointment of The Reverend Jeff O’Hare as priest-in-charge of the Church of St. Paul’s, Roslin, effective May 1. Jeff will continue in his appointment as the incumbent of Christ Church, Belleville. Jeff was appointed to Christ Church in 2018.
  • The appointment of The Reverend Canon Dr Bob Wright as priest-in-charge of St John The Evangelist, Stirling. Bob will continue as priest-in-charge of St Paul’s, Marmora, and St Mark’s, Bonarlaw (Parish of Heart of Hastings). Bob was appointed to Heart of Hastings in 2016.
  • The appointment of The Reverend Dr Ian Ritchie as priest-in-charge of St Matthew’s, Marlbank. Ian will continue as priest-in-charge of Trinity Parish (Christ Church, Tamworth and St Luke’s, Camden East). Ian was appointed to Trinity in 2015.

Many thanks to the leadership of all the churches and these three priests who worked so faithfully with me through the process of developing these ministry models and appointments. They have served their churches and our diocese well in moving forward.

I would also like to extend my thanks and deep appreciation to the Reverend Anne Moore for her faithful and caring Interim Ministry with the people of St John’s, Stirling, St Paul’s, Roslin and St Matthew’s, Marlbank.

We offer our continued support and prayers for God’s strength and grace during these transitions.

Yours in Christ’s Service,
Bishop Michael Oulton
