Dear Friends,

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Archdeacon Wayne Varley as interim priest-in-charge for the Parish of Lakes and Locks (St. Paul's Westport and St. Mary's Newboro) effective January 1, 2020. Archdeacon Varley will provide administrative, pastoral and sacramental ministry to the parish.

Wayne currently serves the diocese as the archdeacon for ministry and program and will continue in this role while acting as interim priest-in-charge for the Parish of Lakes and Locks. Wayne has also served the diocese in the capacity of diocesan executive officer, interim priest-in-charge for St. John's, Portsmouth, Christ Church, Gananoque and Church of the Redeemer, Rockport, incumbent of St. Mark's, Barriefield, incumbent of the Parish of Kitley and assistant curate at Christ Church, Belleville.   

Please hold Wayne and the people of the Parish of Lakes and Locks in your prayers as they seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
 
I ask you to hold the Rev. Canon Andrew Chisholm, incumbent of St. James, Kington, in your prayers. Andrew has been elected the regional dean of the Frontenac Deanery and will facilitate monthly meetings to promote sharing and spiritual growth and act as an advocate for clergy members of the deanery.

Blessings on Andrew as he undertakes this new role in clericus, I am looking forward to our continued work together as regional dean.
 
I am pleased to announce that, God willing, I will ordain Rev. Georgiana Stewart to the priesthood on Sunday March 29, 2020, at 4 pm at St. George’s Cathedral in Kingston. The guest preacher will be Rev. Bill Morrow.

The clergy of our diocese are required to attend with the liturgical colour being red. Please RSVP your regrets to me at moulton@ontario.anglican.ca. Diocesan lay readers are encouraged to attend and robe. Laity of our diocese are also invited to attend.
